Adding more than 24 hours to a time is often used in Excel to track work hours and more.

With standard Excel settings, time is displayed within a 24-hour range.
Times exceeding 24 hours start again at 0, so you need to use brackets to display times over 24 hours.

1. Open the Custom number format dialog box. (Ctrl + 1)
2. If times over 24 hours are not displayed, the format is set to h:mm.
3. To display times over 24 hours, use [h]:mm .
